About
Brittney Schultz, LPC, Founder
Private Practice Trauma & Athletic Therapist
Serving individuals in and around Wisconsin and the surrounding areas, as well as offering online telehealth, and on site sessions or intensives. I extend a warm welcome to individuals seeking support. I have over 13 years of cumulative experience working in a variety of rewarding mental health positions.
Throughout college and graduate school I worked two jobs, while going to school full time, training a therapy dog Ryder, and also training extensively in Brainspotting and Trauma to become fully certified in this specialty. I worked hard to begin to build a practice and client base during internship, serving a wide population of individuals.
After graduating from Graduate School with a 4.0 and my Master’s in Counseling, I went on to achieve my credential Nationally through the NBCC, and then completed post graduate supervision in order to earn my License. Upon graduating I immediately pursued starting a Private Practice specializing in trauma, stress, anxiety – and eventually expanding to include one of my true passions… sports and athletics!
When I am not working with clients or busy training and running the therapy dogs, you might find me at community events like Chili Fest, German Christmas Market, or farmers markets. I love to stay busy and support our local communities near and far. In my spare time I also enjoy yoga, hiking, bicycling, paddle boarding, trying new restaurants, cooking, fundraisers/charity events, traveling and attending a variety of sports events.
Treatment Approach
I use a variety of approaches to address my clients unique needs. Many successful treatment plans will utilize a foundation of psychodynamic, person centered and integrative therapies. Once we identify what approach is best for you we will integrate that with Brainspotting, Heart Math, TCTSY and a tailored treatment plan and approach, including tools to help sustain the growth experienced.
Together we’ll create a tailored approach to fit your needs, goals, working toward healing, self-discovery and empowerment.
Neuroscience research reveals individuals that practice these techniques are happier, more resilient, and better equipped to heal painful memories from the past. Additionally, there is a growing body of research that supports the practice of approaching therapy as a whole health approach emphasizing trauma work, self-compassion and mindfulness in psychotherapy.
