Brittney Schultz, LPC,  Founder, Counselor/Therapist

I am a private practice counselor/therapist serving clients in and around Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, as well as offer online telehealth sessions. If you’re reading this thank you for your trust, it can take a lot of time to seek out help and support.

It is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes growth and positive change. Therapy is a process that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself, while living the life you strive for. It is my passion and mission to help individuals move past what is blocking them in a compassionate way. While also working towards identifying needs and reaching full potential, both individually & within relationships. I look forward to working with you to address your unique experiences, challenges goals.

Treatment Approach

field pathI use a variety of approaches to address my clients unique needs. Many successful treatment plans will utilize a foundation of psychodynamic, person centered and integrative therapies; while then shifting toward a and individualized/tailored treatment plan and approach that includes tools to help sustain the growth experienced in regular therapy.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety and stress; I have extensive skills to work with those having experienced trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, difficult behaviors, men’s issues, and provide support to those in crisis, helping/front line professions, and other clinicians. Walk and talk is another option I offer. Lastly, I also have a Therapy Dog that is often present in sessions, and I am a Certified Brainspotter.

Additionally, there is a growing body of research that supports the practice of self-compassion and mindfulness in psychotherapy. Neuroscience research reveals individuals that practice these techniques are happier, more resilient, and better equipped to heal painful memories from the past.

It is my honor and mission to actively encourage support, growth and individual choices; so that men, women and children can live full, rich lives within their community. I believe services should be individualized and flexible, giving each person opportunity to succeed. It is my honor to assist you in exploring your unique core issues and move toward a healthy, fulfilling life.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
